Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Probable cause/warrants -- restrictions and rules police need to follow if they are engaging in searches or seizures. Some searches do not require a warrant if the police act accordingly.  This video thoroughly explains your rights as a citizen and the police's right as a government employee who is sworn to protect citizens. Most of us are exposed to this amendment in crime or detective shows and can clearly understand the significance of maintaining an enforced process for search and seizures.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. Soldiers are not allowed to invade homes for any reason to accommodate themselves. Of course, we this is not a grand issue today, but the law ensures we maintain this amendment to prevent the past habits of soldiers taking advantage of households.  This video explains why this amendment is one of the least most talked about due to it's circumstantial happening. We should certainly keep this law to avoid prospective issues yet to come, especially if the U.S goes to war.

Amendement II

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Let's talk about gun control! We share the right to bear arms without being infringed. Well, should we infringe by now? Given the increasing numerous attacks, massacres, and gun violence across the nation, several steps should be taken. Unfortunately, the U.S president does not wish to restrain gun ownership or act appropriately.   As a public health professional, public safety remains a priority for all communities. Let's take action! Here are a few steps we should take as a nation to increase safety for our children and ourselves:  1) Execute a Gun Reform - background checks (remove guns or any harmful weapons from individuals who pose a threat to our society, such as someone with a severe mental illness or with a criminal record, or if they're underage)  2) Dismantle the NRA (which is impossible, but a

Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Freedom, freedom, freedom! This amendment allows us to express ourselves in multiple ways, even if we wish to criticize our own government. But to some extent, our expression is not entirely protected in some instances. Although we wish to see an equal and justifiable treatment of freedom amongst all, forms freedom vary in significance based on one's social adversity.  Freedom of Religion: Religious Freedom by the Numbers by Brian J. Grim Realistically, our world lacks freedom of religion and, unfortunately, social hostility coexists. This includes the Muslim community, their literature, buildings, and more, are restricted by the government. Even more severely, social hospitality destroys (burns)

U.S Constitution: The Preamble

WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. America The Preamble  of the Constitution is perceived to carry significant weight in the nation’s development and current political state. How we each interpret these few sentences varies often by if, and how, one was taught about American and political history, whether in school, at home, or elsewhere. How we each establish our opinion of the Preamble and the Constitution as a whole is influenced by self and group identification throughout history and in today’s world. Although I cannot personally identify with the concept of We the People, I understand why many consider these few words so substantial.  Watch this elementary class: The Pream
