Amendement II

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Let's talk about gun control! We share the right to bear arms without being infringed. Well, should we infringe by now? Given the increasing numerous attacks, massacres, and gun violence across the nation, several steps should be taken. Unfortunately, the U.S president does not wish to restrain gun ownership or act appropriately.

As a public health professional, public safety remains a priority for all communities. Let's take action! Here are a few steps we should take as a nation to increase safety for our children and ourselves:
1) Execute a Gun Reform - background checks (remove guns or any harmful weapons from individuals who pose a threat to our society, such as someone with a severe mental illness or with a criminal record, or if they're underage)
2) Dismantle the NRA (which is impossible, but a priority in my list)
3) Allow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to study gun violence.
